Lighting inspiration for a spring wedding

Spring has sprung

Spring has well and truly sprung, and that means wedding season is about the get underway. There's nothing more beautiful than nuptials that take place under a blanket of fresh blossoms, with birds chirping in the background and the smell of flowers wafting through the air. As the sun sets and the natural light disappears, that's when the event really comes into its own. With the right wedding lighting, your special day will be the most talked about party of the year.

Let your flowers shine

Flowers are the focal point of many spring weddings, and these can still be a focus even when the lights go down. After all, you have invested in a beautiful floral installation so it's natural to want to put those blooms to work and make them last all day!

Line the entrance to your reception venue with pillars or tables topped with vases of beautiful blooms, and illuminate these centrepieces with soft, subtle uplighting.

This same effect can be used on dining tables, along the aisle of your ceremony and dotted around the perimeter of your reception venue. Imagine having your first dance in a darkened room with only gently lit blooms to guide your steps.

Embrace romance

There's something especially dreamy about a spring wedding, particularly one that is held outdoors in a garden setting. String up charming, old-timey bare festoon bulbs, which come in clear, frosted and coloured varieties. There are plenty of different sizes and they can hang low on individual strings over tables and around a room.  Alternatively, lights sit on horizontal strings to look like traditional market lights for a romantic, intimate effect.

Chandeliers hung in trees also add a touch of wonder. French Basket chandeliers or Gold Crystal pendants can be hidden in the trees or used as part of a floral installation to really transform your outdoor space into an enchanted garden.

Use the dimmers to set the tone for your night under the stars, lining up picnic tables in rows under strings of warmly glowing Classic Gold pendants for a truly romantic touch.

Star and fairy lights are other romantic lighting options that will tie in nicely with your spring wedding. Wrap these around trees or place them on tables for a subtle, warm lighting choice.

At Chandelier Lust we know exactly how to create a sense of romance that will be felt by everyone at your wedding. Let us take care of your chandelier needs.
